SPOT Connect turns a smart phone into a personal one-way satellite communicator.
It sends messages with GPS coordinates to personal contacts and social networks or can summon help in emergencies from areas beyond cellular range. By downloading and registering the app with SPOT Basic Service, SPOT Connect syncs via Bluetooth with smart phone operating systems such as Android 2.0 or later; iPhone 3, 3 GS and 4; iPod Touch 2nd to 4th generation; and iPad (check online for updates).
