Glenn Crawley, 56, loves to sail his 16-foot catamaran in the surf off his hometown of Cornwall, England. His local sailing community wishes he’d choose a different hobby.

The British press are reporting the sailor has further secured his title of “Captain Calamity” after the Royal National Lifeboat Institute was recently called out to rescue him — for the 15th time.

Crawley, 56, described as a “bloody menace” by one harbor master, is believed to have run up costs of almost 40,000 pounds ($63,000) for the mostly-volunteer marine rescue service, after repeatedly flipping his boat while pursuing his hobby – or “pushing the boundaries of sailing,” as he puts it.
