French builder Fountaine Pajot will debut its new contemporary powercat, the MY4.S, at the Cannes Yachting Festival next week.
With a salon and galley that includes a sliding sunroof and windows all around, sunbathing areas on the bow and stern and a rear swim platform that can be lowered to water level, the MY4.S appears to offer gobs of space for its length.
The MY4.S will replace the builder’s popular MY37 and be offered with two interior layouts: an owner’s layout with three cabins and two bathrooms, and a charter layout with four cabins and two bathrooms.
Powered by twin 150-hp Yanmars, the MY4.S will cruise in the 15- to 17-knot range with a WOT of 22 knots. Range will be around 1,000 miles. Optional twin 250-hp Yanmars are also available. As of now, in an effort to keep the design and operations simple, the company has no plans to offer the boat with a flybridge.
With a draft of just 2 feet, 7 inches and an air draft of just 12 feet, 5 inches, the MY4.S should feel just at home in the Bahamas as it will on the Great Loop.
The base price is projected to be somewhere around $475,000.
