Nautical photographer Onne van der Wal and his wife, Tenley, spent the past two years refitting Snow Goose, their 1986 Grand Banks 32, with the goal of taking her south for the winter. On November 2, the van der Wals began the fourth leg of their journey from Norfolk, Virginia. While traversing the Dismal Swamp they enjoyed exquisite sunrises and sunsets, fresh fish, biking, and the cotton fields of the Carolinas. They also managed to practice yoga aboard.

The gallery and video captures some of the highlights of leg 4 in pictures. Soundings will cover Snow Goose’s run south, leg by leg, as she continues down the ICW and makes her way over to the Bahamas.
