The fall boat show season powers ahead in the Northeast this week as the Progressive Insurance Norwalk (Conn.) Boat Show docks at Norwalk Cove Marina from Thursday through Sunday.

“After a summer filled with boating fun, enthusiasts are anxious to extend their time on the water and plan their next purchase,” show manager Jon Pritko said in a statement. “Whether it’s a new GPS system, the latest and greatest fishing rod or a new boat, boaters will find what they are looking for at the Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show.”

Hundreds of new boats, ranging from 13-foot runabouts to luxury yachts of more than 75 feet, will be on display.

The third model in British luxury motoryacht builder Fairline Boats’ new 48-foot range will make its U.S. debut at Norwalk before heading on to the U.S. Powerboat Show in Annapolis, Md.

Fairline will showcase the Targa 48 Gran Turismo alongside its Squadron 50 at the Norwalk and Annapolis shows.

Another boat on display at Norwalk will be the Hunt Harrier 25 Sport, which debuted last week at the Newport (R.I.) International Boat Show. Hunt also will showcase its Hunt 44, Surfhunter 29 and Surfhunter 25 Center Console at Norwalk.
