Team Soundings jumped aboard the MJM 4 at the Newport International Boat Show, and the editors liked what they saw.
Powered by optional twin 600-hp Mercurys, which make her capable of 50 knots, the MJM 4 is nicely finished, bright, spacious and airy.
Soundings Editor Jeanne Craig and Executive Editor Pim Van Hemmen particularly loved the breeze that can freely blow through the boat’s huge forward opening windows, enormous sliding side windows and the door and window at the aft end of the salon. With a Herreshoff interior and plenty of social spaces on the bow, in the cabin and on the stern, and two places to take a snooze down below, it’s a day cruiser that is capable of cruising for much more than 24 hours.
