With the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show only a week away, boatbuilders are announcing new models they will be putting on display at the show.

Mag Bay, which is known for its high-quality fishing boats, is no exception. The builder announced this week that they will be unveiling their new 38 Center Console at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) which will run from October 30 through November 3.

The new Mag Bay model has been selected as a finalist for FLIBS 2024 Best in Show in the under 60-foot category and is sure to draw eyeballs at the Mag Bay Yachts in-water display on C/D Dock at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center.

Mag Bay says the 38 bridges the gap between the company’s 33- and 43-foot center consoles.

According to the builder, key features of the 38 are:

• A 38-foot, 6-inch cross-step hull design with an 11-foot beam for a soft, dry ride in challenging conditions.

• Power options that include twin Mercury 600-hp Verados or triple Mercury 300- or 400-hp Verados.

• Garmin marine electronics, EmPirbus digital switching and electronic steering with joystick control.

• An open deck design with ample room for socializing, lounging, or serious offshore fishing and has multiple seating arrangements, including optional forward seating.

• A large fiberglass T-top, a pressurized 75-gallon livewell, a 525-gallon fishbox and three aluminum fuel tanks that can hold 595 gallons, which the company says is one of the largest fuel capacities in its class.
