Kadey-Krogen Yachts, the builder of ocean-crossing trawlers, is set to debut its largest build to date—the Krogen 60 Open—at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show.

According to the 49-year-old company, the Krogen 60 Open redefines long-range cruising with efficiency, a soft ride, craftsmanship, and customization. Built on Kadey-Krogen’s proprietary Pure Full Displacement Hull, the new model is designed to uphold the brand’s core philosophy of comfort, and seaworthiness by delivering a bluewater trawler.

With semi-customizable interiors, each Krogen 60 Open is designed to reflect the individual preferences of its owner.

“We are incredibly proud to introduce the Krogen 60 Open,” said Tucker West, President of The Kadey-Krogen Group. “This yacht embodies everything we stand for—unmatched comfort at sea, timeless design, and the ability to cross oceans with ease. It represents the next evolution for our brand and our customers.”

The new 60 Open features the same open-living concept on the main deck first shown on the Open 50, which seamlessly joins the salon and galley area with the pilothouse. Hull No. 1 will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and
subsequent hulls are under construction.

Belowdecks, a full-beam master and ensuite placed amidships take advantage of the 60 Open’s 19-foot, 6-inch beam. Additional highlights include twin John Deere 200-hp 4045 diesels, a transoceanic range, an island-friendly draft of less than 6 feet, and several interior layout options including a three-stateroom, three-head layout that also includes a convertible office area. Provisions for crew accommodations are also offered abaft the engine room.

“The 60 Open represents the evolution of the Open Series and is yet another ex- ample of the advantages of having our own in-house design and engineering team,” said West. “It’s based on our proven design and engineering practices yet incorporates our focus on constant product evolution and a quest for perfection.”
