Australian builder Riviera has announced the global launch of its brand-new 58 Sports Motor Yacht for the end of this year. The 64-foot, 8-inch 58 SMY will launch in the U.S. at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show in February.

Getting aboard the 58 will be simple thanks to large boarding doors that open out to a water sports or entertaining platform at anchor. Owners may opt to include a high/low hydraulic platform to make boarding even easier.

The flybridge of the 58 SMY provides full 360-degree views, as well as an additional joystick control station to assist the skipper. For guests who want to accompany their skipper, the flybridge offers an L-shaped lounge with a table and ottoman. There is also a drawer fridge for cold drinks and a slide-out double bed for an extra accommodation.

Owners can opt for a winged sports pack arch to enhance the flybridge to carry radar and communications domes. They can also opt for gyroscopic or fin stabilization.

At the helm a curved, tempered glass windscreen provides wide sightlines. If the weather is pleasant, owners can open an electric sunroof and sliding side windows to enjoy the breeze.

The cockpit is designed for entertaining, water sports and relaxation. A barbecue with a sink and integrated rubbish bin is to port of the entry to the alfresco deck. To starboard is an icemaker and insulated icebox, or optional freezer. Stepping up to the alfresco deck is a lounger that converts to a double daybed for relaxing in the sun. Opposite is an L-shaped lounge/dining area. Two ottomans offer extra seating by the table. Protection from the elements comes from glass quarter panels on both sides of the deck.

The 58 boasts wide side decks, making it easy to travel from the alfresco deck to the foredeck, where guests find another space to relax in the sun. The foredeck has space for eight, a large lounge seat and a removable table with drink holders. There are large in-deck lockers for stowing fenders, ropes, the table and an optional awning. Owners also have the option of storing their tender on davits on the foredeck.

The 58 SMY can sleep seven guests and one crew member on the accommodations deck. The accommodations deck houses three staterooms and three heads, as well as the full-beam owner’s stateroom with a private head. Aft of the owner’s cabin is a utility room or crew cabin, depending on the owner’s choice. The owner’s cabin features lots of overhead deck hatches and hull windows.

The 58 is powered by twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350s, rated at 1000 horsepower with a fuel capacity of 1,189 gallons. Her cruising range and speeds have not yet been released.
