The new 5.5 EGCD genset from Westerbeke is powered by a compact 0.95-liter, 3-cylinder diesel with smooth, quiet operation at 1,800 rpm.
It’s rated at 5.5 kW/60 Hz and incorporates electronic governing for cleaner emissions and improved speed control, which virtually eliminates “droop” when load is applied or removed, according to Westerbeke.
