With fall around the corner, boat manufacturers are announcing new models, some of which will make their debuts at Newport, Annapolis or Fort Lauderdale while others will make their debuts in the near future.
Here are 5 new models that have been recently launched or announced.
Focus 3X

The new 3X from Dutch builder Focus Motor Yachts is a 38-foot sport cruiser with the feel of an open boat. It has two 6.5-foot wide, electric side windows in the cockpit and an electric glass hardtop that all open to transform the boat into an almost completely open day cruiser.
The 3X is the first in the company’s new line of X boats, joining the company’s four models in the Forza and Power lines.
The new line is designed for open-air enjoyment with a choice between two different cockpit layouts and a forward sunbed.
Inside the 3X is a master cabin and head with a dedicated overhead shower. The saloon includes a fully equipped galley and a convertible seating area for additional sleeping space. The interior combines wood with Alcantara and leather trims.
The semi-custom 3X will be available with inboard and outboard engine options that includes twin Mercruisers, Yanmars, Volvo Pentas, Mercury diesels or Mercury Verados. Top speed is advertised as 50 knots.
The X3 will make its U.S. debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October.
Tiara 56 LS

Tiara Yachts of Holland, Michigan, announced the all-new 56 LS Luxury Sport cruiser with four 600-horsepower Mercury Verado V-12s, its largest outboard-powered model to date.
The 56 will have two large cabins with their own heads down below. An L-shaped dinette and small chaise under the aft end of the hard top is protected from rain and wind. A sliding glass door can enclose the helm and seating area.
Aft of the seating area is an island galley with a two-burner induction cook top, three drawered fridge-freezer units, a sink and a storage drawer. There is also a seating area aft.
The side bulwarks fold down to create balconies on both sides to expand the living area and give direct access to the water.
She is scheduled for a debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2025.
Viggo C10

Swedish builder Viggo is known for its seaworthy aluminum speedsters that will get you from A to B and beyond in no time flat, regardless of the conditions. Its recently announced twin outboard C10 is a 60-knot rocket.
The C10 has a narrow beam and a double chined hull that allows the boat to get up onto a plane very quickly and feels like it’s on rails when turning, regardless of speed. Viggo says the hull flies over the waves and is strong enough to weather storm conditions.
The C10 Offshore has an enclosed pilot house which has a bench settee on one side and a U-shaped dinette on the other. The dinette can be converted into a double berth. Forward, the open cockpit has benches, a table and a sun bed.
Viggo says the design was created for quick transits. To the Swedes that means running off to Norway or the Baltic countries. In America that means you can run from Boston to Newport for a leisurely lunch and easily be back in time for dinner in Boston. That will be a lot more fun than trying to navigate the highways around Beantown or sitting in traffic on Aquidneck Island.
Fjord 490

German-owned Fjord announced its latest model with two variants, the Fjord 490 0pen and the Fjord 490 Sport. The 490 Open will be powered by Volvo Penta inboards up to 800 hp, which will give it a top speed of 34 knots. The 490 Sport will feature triple 600-hp V12 Mercury Verado outboard engines for a top speed near 45 knots.
The walkaround 490 will have folding side balconies and a large T-top for shade with sun loungers on the foredeck and aft. The 490 Sport will also offer a large storage space under the sunbed where the inboard engines for the 490 Open will reside.
Below deck, various layouts are available, which include a saloon with a seating area in the foredeck with double cabin, or two double cabins, and an option of up to two bathrooms.
The helm station can have up to four pilot seats. The galley offers a sink, large work surface and a choice of electric grill or cooktop. The seating area has twin tables that can fold or be electrically lowered and can accommodate up to ten people.
The T-top can be extended with an optional electric Bimini and the sun lounge on the foredeck can be supplied with a sun awning.
A 2025 launch date is expected.
True North 39 Outboard Express

True North boats have been around for 30 years but are now built in Florida by Catalina Yachts, which purchased the brand in recent years.
Catalina started out by producing the True North 34, the single-engine express with a skeg-protected propeller that was based on Downeast lobster boats. They followed that with the outboard-powered True North 34 Outboard Express which had more interior storage, more speed and a shallower draft that the twin 250-hp outboards provided.
Now the company is following that up with the new 44-foot True North 39 Express OE, which will be powered by triple outboards up to a total of 1,200 hp. The boat will have an engine-up draft of 2 feet and an engine-down draft of 3 feet, 6 inches.
Options will include Seakeeper Gyro, genset, air conditioning, diesel heat, bow thruster, joystick steering, electronics, stereo, ice maker and more.
The True North 39 OE will make its world debut at the Newport International Boat Show.
