A scholarship fund has been established to honor Anthony DeWeese, who was killed in a boating accident with a Coast Guard vessel during the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights.
The 33-foot Coast Guard vessel was on its way to assist a vessel that had run aground when it ran into the DeWeeses’ 24-foot Sea Ray on Dec. 20, officials and witnesses said.
