The 44-foot Ichi Ban was left standing vertically in the sand at Thailand’s Kata Beach by strong offshore winds.

“It looks like the boat has not suffered any damage. It is pointing out to sea and should be able to safely sail way at high tide at about 3 p.m. this afternoon,” a regatta organizer at the scene told the Phuket Gazette on Friday.

In the meantime, it made for an interesting photo.

As it was, the yacht was freed with the help of some local boys by ”frigging in the rigging.”
