Ten whale boats are being built by nine organizations in seven states for America’s last whaling ship, the Charles W. Morgan.
The whale boats will accompany the Morgan on her epic 38th voyage to various ports in New England in 2014.
Independence Seaport Museum created a comprehensive website with information about each of the organizations participating in the whaleboat project.

The website includes a brief history of the Charles W. Morgan, the national whale boat restoration project, links to blogs and images. In addition, the website provides information on education programs connected to this project.
Independence Seaport Museum will host its “Launching the Fleet: Building Boats, Building Futures” fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. on June 8.
