A good Samaritan rescued two people after a collision between a recreational boat and a tug Sunday in the Intracoastal Waterway about 3 miles southwest of Port O’Connor, Texas.
They reported seeing two people go into the water after the boat capsized 2 miles from Coast Guard Station Port O’Connor and they acted quickly to retrieve them.
The collision was between an 18-foot recreation boat and the tugboat Jude Thaddeus. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
