Valhalla Boatworks is shaking up its lineup of high-performance fishing vessels with a luxury cruise yacht, the V-55 Sport (SP). The V-55 SP will have upscale accommodations and plenty of power with a stepped bottom design from Michael Peters Yacht Design.
“The V-55 Sport represents our ability to diversify within a model to meet the needs of more owners,” said Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “It takes the proven performance of our 55 hull and merges it with an exciting, contemporary design that the cruising crowd will love.”

The V-55 features a low-profile bow rail and asymmetrical side-decks to maximize the interior space. The starboard side deck is raised, while the port side walkway is level with the deck. Follow it to the bow where there’s a three-person sunpad and lounge with table. The cockpit features a dining area with two benches and a table, with the galley just forward to starboard.

A unique feature is the powered, fold-down balcony on each side of the yacht. Each balcony adds 25 square feet of deck space and water access. Accommodations below include two staterooms with queen beds. The forward stateroom features an ensuite head with a separate shower. A day head with shower is forward of the amidship guest stateroom.
Power comes from quad Mercury 600-hp V12 outboards. Hull No. 1 is slated to splash this coming winter.
