Webcams are used to broadcast live video of everything from the view out in the harbor to giant pandas at the National Zoo.
Admittedly, watching one can be a bit like watching paint dry, but a webcam in Nova Scotia that broadcasts the action in a lobster pot caught a battle royal between two of the crusty crustaceans.
In the end, the winner might just be the loser, as it tosses its opponent out of the ring — or should we say trap?
The webcam trap is located in Halifax Harbor for educational purposes. Nova Scotia Webcams includes the following disclaimer:
All lobster we catch in our webcam trap are released in the wild. They do not end in a pot with hot water. Lobster can survive in a lobster trap for a very long time without being harmed in any way.
