With a capacity for eight people, quiet electric power and adorable good looks, Donut Boats are a new way to get around the Seattle, Washington, waterfront. The boats are popular in Europe but are new to the United States.
Seating is set around a large center table and a large umbrella shields occupants from the elements. Anyone over the age of 21 can pilot these craft, which rent for $80 an hour. This video from King 5 News has more.
A simple electric outboard means piloting the craft is easy. Donut Boats have a top speed of 4 to 5 knots.
