Cruisers Yachts unveiled the Cantius 42 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. Cantius express cruisers are known for interiors that maximize space, and Cruisers wisely kept that formula on the Cantius 42, which replaces the Cantius 41.
Below on the 42 is a two-stateroom layout with the en-suite master in the bow. A VIP stateroom is abaft it, to port. A head/shower is to starboard across from the VIP.
Stairs lead up through an atrium — a signature Cantius design element — to the main saloon. Glass surrounds the saloon, and a sliding glass door aft, along with a sunroof, further open the space to the outside. The galley is also aft, with an L-shaped dinette across from it to starboard. Forward, the helm and companion seating are abaft a single-pane windshield with good visibility.
Outside are a cockpit and teak-capped swim platform. The cockpit’s L-shaped corner lounge seats six. More seating is on the foredeck, with a C-shaped lounge.
The Cantius 42 is powered with a pair of 370-hp Volvo Penta IPS500 pod drives as standard equipment. Pricing was unavailable at press time.
