Italian builder Apreamare will debut a new boat this month, while making its first appearance at the Venice Boat Show that opens May 29, 2025. The event, held at Venice’s historic Arsenale, will feature 270 exhibitors and 300 boats, with Apreamare showcasing its new Gozzo 38 Cabin model.
The Gozzo 38 Cabin, designed by Cataldo Aprea and Marco Casali in collaboration with engineer Umberto Tagliavini, is an evolution of the design language found on the builder’s Gozzo 35, only with more interior space and increased weather protection to help extend the cruising season.
The 37-foot boat features a deckhouse with four-panel glass door that separates the living and entertaining areas from the cockpit. The boat is built for weekends aboard, with two cabins and a private head that boasts more than 6 feet of headroom. The guest cabin includes a berth for two that the builder says exceeds standard dimensions for its class.
Exterior amenities include a convertible cockpit table, L-shaped seating for six, and an extended beach platform. Propulsion options include twin sterndrives from Volvo Penta or a traditional Volvo Penta inboard diesel.
The 38 Cabin will be debuted boat as demand grows for the builder’s line of Sorrentine Gozzo designs, which are based on a traditional Italian fishing boat associated with the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. The 38 Cabin is the third boat in the line of Gozzo models, joining the 35 and the flagship 45.
Apreamare was founded in 1849, when Giovanni Aprea started to hand-build rowing and sailing boats used for fishing in Sorrento, Italy.
