Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the original Boston Whaler Outrage, the builder announces a new edition of its 420 flagship. The Anniversary Edition will feature updated technology, styling and options.
Perhaps most significant on the new model is its power package: triple 600-hp V12 Mercury Verados with joystick piloting, which offer a fast ride. And with a 700-gallon fuel capacity, the 420 can take its owners offshore and travel long distances without the need to refuel.
The Outrage is equipped with ample fishing features, including a leaning post/bait prep center with an insulated 40-gallon livewell, freshwater sink and tackle storage drawers in the cockpit. New on the Anniversary Edition is a FROSTBOX refrigeration system to keep your catch cool. There is also an optional flybridge.
Aesthetics have also been updated on the Anniversary Edition. The upholstery features a new Sea Gray color scheme with contrast stitching, which pairs well with the black hardtop frame package. The cabin has a darker color scheme and metallic finishes, with teak accents on the helm deck and more. Owners will have multiple painted hull side colors and four under-hardtop gelcoat colors to choose from.
The Anniversary Edition debuted in New York City on August 12, and it will be touring the East Coast until October, when it will make its final stop at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. Says Boston Whaler President Nick Stickler, “It’s a powerful next-generation offshore cruiser that represents the future of the Whaler brand. We’re eager for boaters to experience it.”
