Aquila Yachts has announced a new model, the Aquila 50 Yacht Power Catamaran. The model is scheduled to debut at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this October.

Measuring in at an overall length of 52 feet, 2 inches, the Aquila 50 will fill the gap in the builder’s lineup left by the now-retired Aquila 48. Preliminary specifications estimate a beam of 25 feet, 6 inches. Per the builder, the 50 Yacht will be designed with the brand’s “explorer” aesthetic in mind, which will feature a high freeboard.

The flybridge will include more space for dining and entertainment and a retractable sunshade will be standard. Below, the standard layout offers three cabins and three heads, as well as utility room. An optional four-cabin, four-head layout is also available with captain’s quarters.

Like many vessels built by Aquila, the 50 Yacht’s hardtop is designed for solar panel integration. Standard power will come from twin Volvo Penta D6 480-hp engines, which Aquila estimates will provide a cruise of between 18 and 19 knots and a top speed of 22 knots. Fuel capacity is listed at 422 gallons and a hybrid engine package will be an option.
