Axopar launched the Axopar 29 to follow in the footsteps of its highly successful Axopar 28. At 29-feet LOA with a beam of 9-feet, 8-inches, the Axopar 29 is an improved version of the Axopar 28. The key difference is the 29’s hull, which has a higher bow section with more flair. According to the builder, the twin-stepped, 22-degree V “sharp entry hull,” provides a smoother ride in rough seas. The walkaround side decks on the 29 are also wider than on the 28.
The Axopar 29 will be available in two models, the Cross Cabin (XC) and Sun Top (ST) versions. The models are defined by a sliding canvas roof, a design taken from the Axopar 37 Sun Top. With the sliding roof, owners can enjoy the open air and let the sun inside the cockpit by either manually, or electronically opening the roof.

Both models have foredeck space with bow seating for eight people. Optionally, owners can add a U-shaped sofa extension for an O-shaped lounge area. An optional table can be raised for dining or be lowered to make a sunbed. The bow features a multi-use cabin that can function as an underdeck storage area, a head with a sink, or a full-length sleeping cabin.

In the cockpit, the ST model offers a U-shaped sofa configuration with a large, foldable table. The aft backrest can be changed into four different positions for a range of seating options. There is another table that can be raised or lowered for dining or sunbathing. The aft deck features larger aft fender boxes than the 28 and the side fender box can be transformed into a top loading fridge.

Power options include a single 300-, 350- or 400-hp outboard, or twin 200-hp outboards. Cruising speed varies depending on the power option. Maximum speed is 48 knots. Depending on the power setup and cruising speed, the range of the Axopar 29 is upwards of 200 nautical miles with a 105-gallon fuel tank.

The brand also celebrated its 10th-anniversary at 2024 Boot Düsseldorf. Founding partner, Jan-Erik Viitala said in a press release, “I could not have imaged the scale and how far Axopar has developed in only 10 years when we founded the company in 2014. To become the industry leader in a genre created all of its own—adventure boating—is a unique achievement in itself. We’re proud of our worldwide community of Axoparians and we are super excited about the next 10 years ahead of us.”
