The owner of a custom-built center console that was stolen from a Lower Township, N.J., marina is offering a $10,000 reward for the tip that brings it home.

“It’s not a Grady-White or a Boston Whaler. This is the only one ever made,” John Bonner, who bought the boat last year with his son, says of his custom 30-foot Ritchie Howell center-console valued at $140,000.

“We have insurance on it and I’m not looking to get a new boat by having an insurance claim. I want to get that boat back because it’s the only one,” he told The Press of Atlantic City.

The boat has a distinct flare and dark blue hull and twin 250-hp Yamaha outboards, police said. The boat was last seen on April 1 and reported missing last week.

After posting the reward on Craigslist last week, Bonner said he has received emails every day, but no solid tips. Anyone with information on the theft can contact the Lower Township Police Department at (609) 886-1619, ext. 157.
