The Coast Guard and Washington Dept. of Ecology are maintaining oversight of the response Wednesday by Vigor Marine to a submerged dry dock and partially submerged tug at the company’s shipyard in Everett, Wash.

Divers from Global Diving and Salvage, contracted by Vigor, this week are removing debris, which is limited to the controlled waters immediately surrounding the vessel. Teams are working around the clock to further assess the condition of the dry dock and tug.
It has been determined that the dry dock partially sank and subsequently the tug capsized. The dry dock and tug have since been stabilized and are surrounded by multiple layers of oil spill containment boom. Salvage planning and preparations continue.
