Kadey-Krogen is offering a free iPad application that is available through the company’s website or the Apple Store.

“There’s just something about swiping through pages in a dream ‘book’ like this iPad experience that sends the cruising spirit soaring and is perfect for learning about and exploring living the Kadey-Krogen dream,” Kadey-Krogen Yachts vice president Larry Polster said in a statement.

“We’ve captured many of the best stories by Krogen owners, their exotic destinations and chronicles in boating magazines and put these together with the story of our history and how we build our trawlers,” he added. “The app is created to tell these stories onshore, offshore or at 35,000 feet, with or without Internet connectivity. You can sit quietly wherever you are and absorb a lot of feeling, flavor and facts about Kadey-Krogens.”

The app includes information about the company’s founding and photographs of the yacht designs Kadey-Krogen has created during its 35-year history. There are excerpts from the company’s magazine, Waypoints, and chapters detailing engineering philosophy.

There are also technical explanations about the building process, specifications for and photographs of current boat models and links to more data at the company website.
