It is not often that you will see a manta ray fly. Like whales, manta rays breach, which almost looks like flying, but recently a manta ray went for an actual flight.

LeyLey, a nearly 900-pound manta ray was airlifted by helicopter from an aquarium at the Atlantis, Paradise Island, resort in the Bahamas, to the nearby ocean where it was set free. The ray was fitted with two tags, so they can follow the animal’s movements.

This is the 13th manta ray the resort has released and the sixth to have been fitted with tracking devices.
