Netherlands-based U-Boat Worx launched its private charter program worldwide for its deep diving mini-submersibles.
The high-end toys will be delivered on site for a qualified customer to explore the world beneath the ocean surface.
Two models will be available at first for the charter fleet — the C-Explorer 2 and the C- Quester 3. The former has two-seater capacity while the latter has three including the pilot. U-Boat’s mini-submersibles have air conditioning, 360-degree transparent acrylic pressure hulls, and a maximum operating depth of about 330 feet.
If you are interested, be ready to shell out about $100,000 for one month of charter, which includes insurance, the crew, parts — and shark bait.
