Southport Boats of Augusta, Maine, announced a new model on its 33-foot platform — the Southport 33 LX.

The new deck plan of the LX will offer a forward 270-degree wraparound pit seating area on the port side. The boat will feature more “tender-like amenities,” including extra refrigeration, a microwave, a coffee maker and food and beverage storage and preparation areas, the company said.

An L-shaped wraparound lounge has been added to the aft port corner with a wet bar, refrigerator, and bottle and glass storage in the leaning post.

“The 33 was a real game-changer for us,” Southport Boats managing director Skip Robinson said in a statement. “It was always envisioned as a fishing or ‘fishable’ boat, but once people saw the cruising options we could deliver on that platform, they wanted more.”

The 33 LX will debut at the Newport and Fort Lauderdale shows in September and November, respectively, and at numerous smaller shows throughout the fall.
