A fishing boat that went missing not long after it was built in 1972 was found submerged in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Alabama, officials said.
The 65-foot Katmai was discovered in December sunk in 8,900 feet of water about 200 miles off the coast, according to the Coast Guard.
All on board, including the owner’s child, were presumed lost.
