After raising estimates for outstanding claims earlier this year, BP reported that the total costs of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill are around $65 billion. The London-based company had paid around $63.4 billion by the end of last September to cover cleanup costs and legal fees linked to the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history, according to published reports.
