Passagemaker magazine’s Trawlerfest is teaming up with the 2022 Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show from May 17-21 in Anacortes, Washington.

The event will feature in-water and on-land displays with hundreds of boats at Cap Sante Marina and neighboring boatyards, plus the addition of Trawlerfest’s highly regarded seminars and educational classes that will take place at nearby walkable locations. The show will also feature shoreside displays including trailerable boats, marine accessories, electronics, destinations, and service providers.

Trawlerfest is owned and operated by Active Interest Media (AIM), a media company that produces consumer and trade events, websites, films and TV shows, and magazines, including Soundings and Passagemaker. Trawlerfest is AIM and Passagemaker’s stand-alone series of boat shows and educational events for cruising enthusiasts. It takes place in locations around the country.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with the NMTA and the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce to have Trawlerfest return to the premiere cruising destination of Anacortes,” said President of AIM Marine Group Gary DeSanctis. “There couldn’t be a better setting to bring our education and community together in an intimate, rendezvous atmosphere and we look forward to bringing our first-class education and demonstrations experience to this fantastic boating event.”

“There is great energy coming from exhibitors and boaters alike after a highly successful return to the in-person Seattle Boat Show earlier this month,” said NMTA Boat Show Director Katie McPhail. “We look forward to continuing the growth of this event with the addition of Trawlerfest.”

“Our partnership with the NMTA has allowed Anacortes to host an exceptional destination boat show. The addition of Trawlerfest will allow us to bring more boaters in from out of the area and to boost the quality of the show,” said Anacortes Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Jesica Kiser.
