Doyle Sailmakers in Salem, Massachusetts, has released a time-lapse video about the crafting of three sails for one of the largest private, sail-assisted motoryachts in the world (LOA 470 feet) — Sailing Yacht A.

Rigged as a three-masted schooner — the main is more than 328 feet tall — the superyacht will carry about 40,330 square feet of sail.

Sailing Yacht A, which has an underwater observation pod and a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, is owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, who took possession last week in Monaco.
