Boaters and sea lions have a complicated relationship in Southern California, with strong opinions falling on both sides.
Bottom line, sea lions are cute but they can be a nuisance to anglers who are trying to reel in a catch or boaters who are trying to walk a narrow dock to their boat or keep their swim platform clear of a colony lounging in the sun.
