Here’s a video of the 1,131-foot container ship Skagen Maersk in a storm on the Indian Ocean, bound for Singapore.

As waves hit, the ship contorts to absorb the impact. Marine engineer Claus Tuxen, who recorded the video, says a stiff vessel would break apart. The views from inside the ship show the movement clearly.
