Here’s a fun video to kick off the long holiday weekend.

A Georgia man, prompted by a bet with his wife, combined a GMC Jimmy that had a 4.3-liter V6 engine with a Sea Ray 185 bowrider that was bound for the landfill to create what can only be called The Boatcar.

You board by climbing a swim ladder off the transom, and he even installed rod holders and a dummy propeller as finishing touches.

She doesn’t float, but gets admiring looks wherever she goes.

“She is now street-legal because she has headlights, taillights, turn signals, windshield, horn, seat belts, side-view mirrors and a rear-view mirror,” said Mark Ray, of Alpharetta, Ga., who appropriately named his toy “Gone Overboard.”

“I’ve dedicated this creation to my wife, Robyn, who battled for a year with breast cancer and now can happily say she is cancer-free! She and my family love The Boatcar and I hope it will bring a smile to your face, too,” Mark writes on his website dedicated to The Boatcar.
