They are as reliable as a passing season. Come Nov. 30, the official end to the Atlantic hurricane season, the annual flight of “snowbirds,” the cruising boaters who migrate to southern climes as winter overtakes the north, will land in blue Caribbean Sea waters.

For locals, and seasoned snowbirds, the arrival of “newbies” can be both humorous, and annoying. But mostly humorous.
