Marine retail giant West Marine announced the company has launched a full dive program in two Florida stores and an online dive experience.
In an partnership with Mares Scuba Gear, Scuba Schools International and Guardian Scuba Instruction, West Marine is positioned to offer customers in Jacksonville and North Palm Beach three of the key components of a full dive center: regionally appropriate dive products, the full range of SSI scuba classes and services such as tank fills.
The new dive product assortment, which is also available online at westmarine.com includes dive computers and gauges, regulators, buoyancy control devices, wetsuits, tanks and accessories.
“We are excited to have developed strategic partnerships with credible industry experts to help us introduce the world of scuba diving to a whole new set of customers.” says Cristina Kochevar, West Marine’s watersports category manager. “Our online experience speaks to beginners who can start their Open Water class for free online and enthusiasts who can watch dive videos on Dive TV.”
