Nearly four years after the Costa Concordia wrecked off the coast of Isola del Giglio in Italy on Jan. 13, 2012, 200 technicians are working to dismantle the cruise ship.
Some of the workers are removing internal structures on the decks; others are demolishing the external steel structures and working to restore the buoyancy of the hull at the port of Pra-Voltri in Genoa, Italy.
Deck 14 — the top deck — was removed and work is now focused on the lower decks, according to The Maritime Executive.
