Covered in sawdust and wood shavings, the crew at Working Sail in Cornwall, United Kingdom, is busy crafting planks, frames and deck beams for Pellew, a reproduction of a 68-foot Falmouth Pilot Cutter named Vincent, which was launched in 1852.

The group is using traditional methods and materials to craft Pellew, training the next generation of shipwrights in the process. This video shows the Pellew crew hard at work crafting Pellew’s frames, planks and other wooden bits and pieces.

Funded by a Community Interest Grant, the organization hopes to launch Pellew in spring 2019.
