German builder Fjord Yachts, a HanseYachts brand, has launched its Fjord 39XL and 39XP powerboats in collaboration with yacht designer Patrick Benfield.
The 39XL and 39XP measure 39 feet overall, with a beam of 12 feet, 8 inches and are in essence the same boat with different propulsion systems. The 39XL is available with twin Volvo Penta D4 320-hp engines, or twin Volvo Penta D6 440-hp engines. The 39XP is offered with twin Mercury Verado V10 400-hp engines. Both models use joystick steering for increased maneuverability.

A large, open cockpit offers seating with two tables, which can be lowered to create a sunbathing area. The foredeck offers another sun lounger that can be accessed by walkarounds. A large T-top provides shade and protection from foul weather. The helm on both models features two captain’s chairs to starboard, with storage space aft. Owners can opt for a partial galley and up to three refrigerators on the main deck.
Below deck, the 39XL and XP boast a double-berth cabin with storage drawers, and a fully equipped head with shower to starboard.
“The FJORD 39 is the logical new development of our entry-level model in the unique FJORD class,” said Andrea Zambonini, Fjord Product Manager. “It offers everything that characterizes the core of these iconic yachts. Power, design and comfort—fully thought through and high quality.”
Including engines, the base price for the 39XL is $498,320 and the 39XP is $526,495.
