The wreck of an old steel steamship with a colorful past has been sitting in decay in a tributary just off the Ohio River for the better part of three decades, but a group of kakers recently came across the ghost ship and set about exploring it.

The kayakers seem to have pulled most of their information on the ship from an earlier blog, Queen City Discovery, by Cincinnati-based freelance photographer Ronny Salerno, who also took copious detailed photos of the wreck.

Salerno identifies the ship as the 186-foot Celt, launched in April 1902, and later renamed the Sachem.
