11th Hour Racing Team Takes Third Straight Win in The Ocean Race

The American IMOCA team finished first in the sixth leg of The Ocean Race from Denmark to the Netherlands, extending their very narrow lead.

During a race from Aarhaus, Denmark, to The Hague, The Netherlands, which had 11^th Hour Racing Team within shouting distance of Team Holcim-PRB, the American team skippered by Charlie Enright took their third straight win.

“Even when the other guys kept coming into us from behind, I think we just thought we were not gonna let them win that way,” said Enright about the nail-biting finish. “But what an unbelievable race all of these teams sailed—Holcim-PRB, Malizia, Biotherm, GUYOT. This was a tough, treacherous racecourse. Everybody deserves congratulations for their finish here in The Hague.”

Following Holcim-PRB was Team Malizia, which had a Dutch sailor aboard and was greeted by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands. Biotherm took fourth place, and Team GUYOT Environnement claimed fifth.

The IMOCA fleet will have an in-port race in The Hague on June 13^th.
