During a race from Aarhaus, Denmark, to The Hague, The Netherlands, which had 11th Hour Racing Team within shouting distance of Team Holcim-PRB, the American team skippered by Charlie Enright took their third straight win.
The Ocean Race“Even when the other guys kept coming into us from behind, I think we just thought we were not gonna let them win that way,” said Enright about the nail-biting finish. “But what an unbelievable race all of these teams sailed—Holcim-PRB, Malizia, Biotherm, GUYOT. This was a tough, treacherous racecourse. Everybody deserves congratulations for their finish here in The Hague.”
The Ocean RaceFollowing Holcim-PRB was Team Malizia, which had a Dutch sailor aboard and was greeted by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands. Biotherm took fourth place, and Team GUYOT Environnement claimed fifth.
The IMOCA fleet will have an in-port race in The Hague on June 13th.
