Growing up in San Jose, California, the Slyngstad brothers learned to sail as children and fell into serious racing later in life. Now at the ages of 67 and 58, they are set to race against each other in the multihull class at this year’s Les Voiles de St. Barth.

In a New York Times article, the brothers admitted that they have a competitive relationship. “It’s in our DNA,” Todd said. He has a better track record when it comes to playing golf, but with sailing, Greg’s in the lead. This is Greg’s seventh time competing at Les Voiles de St. Barth and he’s already beaten Todd, so he may have a leg up.
