Several builders recently announced new lines or models. Here’s a roundup of news from Larson, Beneteau, Hann Powerboats and Fairline.
Larson Boat Group announced the introduction of the FX Series, a new line of fiberglass fishing boats for the 2012 season.
“The new Larson FX Series brings together all of the great fishing features from my past life in the aluminum world and combines them with the style, comfort and advanced technology of our patented VEC fiberglass process,” Larson Boat Group president Al Kuebelbeck said in a statement. “These exciting boats truly are the best of both worlds.”
The series includes four boats: a 17-foot tiller, a 17-foot single console, a 17-foot dual console and an 18-foot dual console. Each model is made with a closed-molded VEC technology hull and features an integrated, foam-filled composite stringer system.
They are backed by Larson’s “Five-to-Life” transferable lifetime hull warranty.
Larson plans to expand the FX Series for 2013, when the company will be celebrating its 100-year anniversary.

The all-aluminum boat features twin Cummins 425-hp motors and Arneson surface drives and is designed to support a crew of up to eight. It has a 500-nautical-mile range.
Subject to the needs of a commercial company or government agency, the boat can be equipped with a variety of electronic options, crew seating and configurations.
The initial fleet of Hann 40 Peacemaker boats will serve as escort and patrol craft in the Gulf of Guinea. The first boat is on its way, and additional boats will follow in the first five months of next year.

Fairline Boats, a British luxury motoryacht builder, is introducing the new Squadron 50 flybridge motoryacht to the U.S. market at the 2012 Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show.

Following her world launch in the U.K. in September, the Squadron 50 is being shown alongside the Targa 38 Gran Turismo, Targa 50 Gran Turismo and the Squadron 42, all of which are appearing at the show for the first time.
“Owners of the three-cabin, two en-suite Squadron 50 will have a master cabin the size that would normally be expected on a yacht of 60 feet plus,” the company said in a statement. “Panoramic hull windows and overhead glazing add natural light into the cabin and further contribute to the feeling of spaciousness. The two additional twin cabins comprise two beds that can be converted to doubles. The fourth crew cabin, with feature window, is also available and is easily accessed from the cockpit, even when under way.”
