Two Polish men were sentenced to 18 and 24 years, respectively, after being caught on a sailboat off the coast of England’s Isle of Wight with nearly 1,000 pounds of cocaine worth $140 million.
Laboratory tests showing the drug was 89.9 percent pure.
The drug had been taped into packages divided between three locked hold-alls, bin liners, hessian sacks and loose piles found on board.
