The Coast Guard rescued a 37-year-old San Antonio man Sunday night after he floated in the ocean for more than a day after a boat he was fishing from sank off Port O’Connor’s shore on Saturday.

Joey Trevino was on board a 25-foot fishing boat with three other men from San Antonio when the boat capsized so fast the men were not able to send a distress call. The cause remains unclear but the men were able to put on life jackets, which is the main reason they were able to be rescued.
