Since 2012, Soundings has featured a classic boat in every issue, each one beautifully drawn by Jim Ewing and accompanied by a rich description from contributor Steve Knauth. Since the holidays are a great time to dream about boats, for the next two weeks we will feature 12 classics from our files, a dozen designs with which to while away those dark winter nights. Today’s boat is Shamrock V, the J Class yacht, which is a direct link to the America’s Cups of the 1930s.
