The Coast Guard and a good Samaritan rescued two people Sunday from Lake Michigan after they jumped off their boat to cool off without realizing their trolling motor was still on.
The Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan in Milwaukee overhead a transmission about 1 p.m. from another boater saying he had found an 18-foot boat with fishing lines in the water but no one inside.
