The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education, welfare and morale of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced that its eighth annual Tribute to the United States Coast Guard in Our Nation’s Capital will take place June 12 at the National Building Museum in Washington.

The keynote speaker for the dinner is General Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. The annual event in Washington honors the heroism and bravery of the Coast Guard’s men and women, and recognizes their families for their sacrifices and support. This year’s event will also highlight the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner.

“We are honored to have the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff join us for this evening in tribute to the men and women of the United States Coast Guard,” Coast Guard Foundation president Anne Brengle said. “We invite grateful Americans to join us at our June tribute to the bravest of the brave, and honor those who protect and serve our country.”
